Yep -- I am READY for the Holidays -- and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too ...

This Empty-Nesting Single Retiree (FINALLY! I've dreamed of finally being able to enjoy this time AFTER so many long years of being a Long-Term Single Parent .. ) is making the RESOLUTIONs to:

Take better care of myself (and eat healthier -- which I now can since there are NO MORE Teens/Young Adults in the home REFUSING to eat healthy food)

Get some MORE SLEEP -- because I was the ONLY income source for the entire household -- I was up to 1:30-2AM every morning ... and then had to get going at 5-5:30AM each and every day -- we all know how lazy about chores that teens can be (and young adults living at home too!)

Start to ENJOY having the TIME to MY SELF .. rediscover new/old hobbies (and Digital Photography IS fun now .. I just learned how to play Golf .. and other things)

And do the things that I ALWAYS DREAMED of, but were put aside because I had to be THE RESPONSIBLE PARENT (because the ex was not only abusive/violent (and convicted of abusing the children too), but also because he was a deadbeat in EVERY sense of the word ...

Finally all done, thanks. Same to you! I have a New Years resolution. This year I'm going to make it my goal to control my mouth when I get mad. I see people who remain so calm even when they're enraged. I'm going to work very hard to become like them. God bless.
