I always felt it was meant as a bad thing. like what goes around comes around but in the worst possible way.
in fact, I was thinking about it few hours ago and I thought "is that a bad thing?" and I would have to say it could either be good or bad.

I have not read that book or else it would make this answer stand on it's head eh? But then that comes from the man who made even a St Bernard look like a killer....
I have always taken it to mean something very positive...sort of like the underdog getting to win one for once...I missed that one S! LOL Hugssss

I love the movie Apt Pupil, that has got to be one of my favorite films. I would say yes it's true, think about a dog you own, one day he is able to run around all day, you give him a bone and toys and all day he is happy. You can say it is his day.

I think almost every dog has his day, and it's usually not a good thing.
