Im so confused...
basically i came on my period on 3rd november. my cycle varies from 28-33 days. I slept with my fiance on 27-28november. I was due on my period around 5th december. Now its the 22nd dec and i have nothing. No spotting..some cramping feelings..but no other symptom of pregnancy (i urinate a lot..but i also drink loads water so i cant really account for that)

Iv taken 8 home pregnancy tests (first response) since i missed my period. I didnt take any before i missed it because i saw absolutely no point. They were all negative. I had blood tests done to measure the exact quantity of Hcg in my body- this was done 10 days after my missed period. The results showed i contained only 1 mIU. Hence negative.

But still no period! Im going crazy!

Does anyone have a clue about this?!

I even tested today- with first response again. still negative - im so fed up of them i hate the toilet now

Hi Honey, here are some symptoms of pregnancy, check them and then see your doctor

Tender, swollen breasts
One of the early signs of pregnancy is sensitive, sore breasts caused by increasing levels of hormones. The soreness may feel like an exaggerated version of how your breasts feel before your period. Your discomfort should diminish significantly after the first trimester, as your body adjusts to the hormonal changes.

Fatigue
Feeling tired all of a sudden? No, make that exhausted. No one knows for sure what causes early pregnancy fatigue, but it's possible that rapidly increasing levels of the hormone progesterone are contributing to your sleepiness.

You should start to feel more energetic once you hit your second trimester, although fatigue usually returns late in pregnancy when you're carrying around a lot more weight and some of the common discomforts of pregnancy make it more difficult to get a good night's sleep

Nausea or vomiting
If you're like most women, morning sickness won't hit until about a month after conception. (A lucky few escape it altogether.) But some women do start to feel queasy a bit earlier. And not just in the morning, either — pregnancy-related nausea and vomiting can be a problem morning, noon, or night.

About half of women with nausea feel complete relief by the beginning of the second trimester. For most others it takes another month or so for the queasiness to ease up.

Increased sensitivity to odors
If you're newly pregnant, it's not uncommon to feel repelled by the smell of a bologna sandwich or cup of coffee and for certain aromas to trigger your gag reflex. Though no one knows for sure, this may be a side effect of rapidly increasing amounts of estrogen in your system. You may also find that certain foods you used to enjoy are suddenly completely repulsive to you.

Abdominal bloating
Hormonal changes in early pregnancy may leave you feeling bloated, similar to the feeling some women have just before their period arrives. That's why your clothes may feel snugger than usual at the waistline, even early on when your uterus is still quite small.

Frequent urination
Shortly after you become pregnant, you may find yourself hurrying to the bathroom all the time. Why? Mostly because during pregnancy the amount of blood and other fluids in your body increases, which leads to extra fluid being processed by your kidneys and ending up in your bladder.

This symptom may start as early as six weeks into your first trimester and continue or worsen as your pregnancy progresses and your growing baby exerts more pressure on your bladder.

A missed period
If you're usually pretty regular and your period doesn't arrive on time, you'll probably take a pregnancy test long before you notice any of the above symptoms. But if you're not regular or you're not keeping track of your cycle, nausea and breast tenderness and extra trips to the bathroom may signal pregnancy before you realize you didn't get your period.

Your basal body temperature stays high
If you've been charting your basal body temperature and you see that your temperature has stayed elevated for 18 days in a row, you're probably pregnant

Good luck.

First of all, I HATE first response tests. They're expensive and, in my experiance, unreliable. Now, you said you've had a blood test, and it said you're not pregnant. Then I'm going to say, you're NOT pregnant. You're stressing out about your missed period. Stress alone can make you late. It can even make you skip a period. I'm never late, every 28 days, like clock work. I've been late twice in my whole life. The first time, was my first cycle after my husband deployed to Iraq in March of 04. I was 6 days late, and really thought I might be pregnant. The last time was during his current deployment. The stress was getting to me and I was 8 days late. I knew this time that I couldn't be pregnant, so I didn't worry about it too much. If you haven't had your period by mid January I would call your doctor. It's not uncommon to be late or to skip a period, but you might want to make sure there's nothing else going on there.

Well you are not pregnant then. If you have taken tons of pregnancy tests and even a blood test (which is 100%) and all have come back negative, I would say save yourself the $15 and stop buying pregnancy tests.

It sounds like something else is going on here. You can also delay your period by stressing out about this pregnancy.,.a catch 22 sort of.

A number of things can be wrong or absolutely nothing at all is wrong, youre just late :)
Instead of worrying yourself to death I recommend going in to see your doctor after the holidays if you havent had your period yet and find out whats going on, if anything.

Good luck and Merry Christmas!

This happened to me also when I was first was trying to get pregnant. It is called being stressed out about it. You have to just relax and know that you have taken tests and they were all negative. If in another week you still have no period, test again. If still no period, ask the doctor about getting the Provera pill, which will get your period started and get your period back on the right track.

Yeah, I really don't think you are pregnant. Sometimes periods just come very late or skip due to other things that are going on with your body. If you have lost weight or are very athletic or very stressed out, those things can cause you to miss periods. Don't worry too much about it.

You only got one more month until they baby, just stick it out. Pregnancy can put a lot of emotions into a woman. Just let her know everyday, that she is beautiful and you love her no less than you did before she was pregnant. Make sure she knows you love her more. The games will go away when the baby is born. Congratulations!

What does your doctor say about no period? If your HCG level is 5 or below, you are not pg. There is something you can take,(f/ your doctor), that will start your period. So, I would discuss this w/ s/he. And they can also give you an idea why no period.

Sometimes it takes a while before you'll show positive. OR...you may have some other kind of problem...If you're really athletic or have been super stressed it might make you really late...or there might be something else going on...go see your doctor and he or she will help you get to the root of it.

You're not pregnant.

You're skipping. It happens all the time.

Judging by the tone of your question it seems you have a capacity for getting worked up and stressed out. This sort of behavior can cause you to skip a period.

it doesnt mean anything. It means you're skipping.

You either need to chill out and move along, or buy stock in First Responce.
