I have been invited to a New Years eve party. I have never worn a party dress before and am not sure what style to get. I have just started to wear dresses so everything is still new to me and different. I know I wear a junior size but I'm not sure if the dress should be above my knees or below. I wouls appreciate any help I can get.

dont wear a long dress...u'll look wierd.....wear cute dresses like this...i got invited to 1 too and im wearing similar dresses to this one

Try a shorter, cocktail dress. Darker colors work best, like black, blue, and red, but you could also wear white. Make sure to wear cardigan or cropped cardigan in case you get cold and just so you don't look too bare. If you live near an H&M, they just got in some really cute cocktail dresses that you should check out. But keep it simple, for example: a black knee-length cocktail dress with a white cropped cardigan would look very nice and be very appropriate for a New Years Eve party.

Err on the side of too formal. Make sure you wear layers. like maybe a dress that will go with a sweater. That way if you get to hot you can take off the sweater.

maybe u should go to body central at the mall. that's where i get my dress, and i always get complements on them. wear a flirty black dress that is strapless,with a pretty sparkle design on it. high hells,accessories to match, and a nice up-do with a little bit of hair down over your eyes will make ur outfit complete. believe me I'm very girlie so I love the glitz and glamor.

go with a nice black or red frilly dress....the legnth should depend on how sexy your legs look...you should wear nude or suntan pantyhose and a pair of heels
