The same reason women watch soap operas. There's drama, and a bit of fantasy roleplaying on the watchers part. I mean, how many people would love to torment the hell out of their boss the way DX does Mr. McMahan? Plus, some of the characters are hot.

People ask questions about wrestling, because if you've noticed, under the category "sports", wrestling, is one of the sports listed, so apparently, somebody thought it was worth listing. So what if it's fake, I still enjoy watching it.

wrestling is great fun to watch. it's athletics but in an aggresive way. So what if it's fake, it doesn't make a difference unless you know who's going to win beforehand
