The Sicilian mafia is one of two most powerful criminal organizations in the world. The Colombian cartels, or some other emergent South/Central American organization is on par with the Sicilian mafia.

First of all I don't fear those thugs, and a criminal is a criminal, a serial killer is more feared than any organized criminal gang, because they are gruesome. Like John Wayne Gacy, or Richard Speck? But it would be the Governments of the world, like the CIA or the old KGB members, the Tong (Chinese silent and deadly and they have no remorse, they are not Christian/Judaic), or the spuratic activities of gang bangers in the Black society that driveby and shoot people? Gangs are all over and if we spent our time worrying we would not live a life. So don't worry. And the Italian mob today is deflated to the average which is wonderful for the good Italian Americans, now they can live without being discriminated against. South Americans took their place along with the Cuban mob, so the Hispanics are in that shady area now. Oh you asked who started it? Frederick the Great a German, he started by hiring the Sicilians to kill for him, he considered them to be trash and mixed with black so he felt they were easily brutal and controlled like animals. Frederick is an example of the mentality of those people, (superiority complex), and he would not dare to try the Roman or Italian people, he resented Rome for obvious reasons, the fact that Rome kicked their butts might have had something to do with that decision, also most of Italy was Catholic. Oh yeah and as you know who is the power in America and most other countries? So the most powerful with all the technology are? The Governments made up of the Anglo-Saxon, and Normans, they have always had others do their dirty work. Like old man Bush had Sadaam Hussein do his dirty work in Iran remember?
