does anyone know how much it costs to get a gas meter replaced. someone i know hit 2 if them and i was just trying to find out the approx cost?? your answers are appreciated

I did that and the gas company just charged me the $40 cost of a service call.

I was wandering through this CARS AND TRANSPORTATION SECTION and found this question. Do you mean fuel gage on a vehicle? If so, the problem may be with the sending unit in the tank. We're not talking about more than a twenty bucks here.

gas meters are roughly $4500 so you better start saving, they're no cheap item and have very intricate parts that are one of a kind and very costly. Sorry 4 the bad news
