When your Mom baked cookies for the family, did she always eat the burnt (or too dark) ones, so that the family could have the good ones?

Aww that's a cute question lol. My mom barely ever baked cookies but when she did she told us she liked the dark ones and ate them :) Sometimes, when I make cookies/cupcakes/any meal, I will eat/throw away the ugly/burnt ones to make the presentation better lol. I should watch my mom and uncle cook more now :-( they are awesome chefs..

Ha!! Jail will/ would be easier than explaining to your mom that you "stole" her cookies. Just imagine looking into her sad disappointed eyes for the next 24 hours. You could turn it around and tell her that you have craved her cookies and the fact that she makes the BEST cookies in the world it is her fault that you have been driven to thievery and you are addicted to the cookies and you just couldn't help yourself. Now, when that doesn't work tell her that you are sorry that you disobeyed her and you promise not to do it again. But they are the best in the world.

Mon feed them to the dogs. At supper she would eat real slow to make sure everyone got enough. We were very poor and not always sure enough food for everyone. Mom was a great cook and didn't burn every often, sometimes a wood stove is hard to judge.

My mom threw them away, and if there weren't enough good ones she quickly made more.

she would have, but i always wanted them. something about the taste of burnt suger. yum!!
