On my car or yours? Some cars don't have dipsticks because the transmissions are sealed systems. Tell me what year, make and model, and I can help you.

It 's different on different cars. usually it is a small one, there are three, one for the antifreeze, one for the brake fluid and one for transmission fluid. The transmission fluid is ususlly the next to largest one and the fluid is reddish. Look around under the hood and find the pulls for the dip sticks, they are there. It will have a full mark on it. wipe it off with a rag or paper towel and stick it in all the way and then see where it is on the stick. If it's low put some in. I should be checked when the engine is cool. If it's not low leave it alone. you don't want to overfill any of them. Brake fluid is dark brown. Good luck.

If the engine is an "in-line" (meaning installed length wise in the car) the transmission dipstick should be near the firewall (Back of the engine) on either the right or left side of the engine. If your engine is mounted sideways in the car, the transmission dipstick is usually on the driver's side of the car.
Good luck!

It should have a red handle, and be accessible by view and easy reach.
It's different for different cars, the owner's manual should have a diagram.
