What do you think it is?
To me I feel like the spirit of goodness, joy and peace is all around the world and with family.
(but it only lasts for a few days)
Does everyone feel this way? How do you explain the "christmas spirit"

It's a marketing thing. People should have the spirit of joy and peace all year round but right after Christmas they go back to not being especially nice.

This is just like asking a person to describe the feeling you get when sitting alone in a church. You know there is someone there, except our sight is so myopic that we, as humans, can not see it. When I think about God and Christmas, I get the image of a bright light, so mysterious, yet at the same time, so fulfilling and loving that you just can not look away. That's what the Christmas spirit is.

I agree. It is definitely an attitude that seems to only last days, if that. But attitudes of good will towards mankind generates a positive energy and happiness. To bad it is short lived. The best part is you can choose to be happ all month and defy the norm.

Its supposed to be that way but it is difficult to really feel it with everything going on in the world. Of course if I do not get the present I want, that will be it!!! JK
