Walmart, Gamestop, or EB Games. My brother pre-ordered his DS Lite from Gamestop when it was first coming out in June. If none of the stores are currently carrying them, ask if you can pre-order one.

toys r us always has it in stock. it's probably the toy that has the most shippings to the store and there are hundreds of them in there.
