I heard something about forums where i can post about my project and find a web developer/designer.
I tried searching for them but did not have much luck. Does anyone know any URLs for that?

I need a web developer/designer to create an automotive web site involving custom made forums, picture galleries, user accounts and a calendar section. I do need someone within a driving distance of Chino CA since this project is very detail oriented and all ideas and images need to be discussed and approved by me prior to execution.
Your input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Visit this website and see the designer category. There is also a forum where you may contact designers and post your job offer.

Whether you choose someone locally or nationally, micromanaging a web designer is a BAD idea. A web designer needs to be free and able to use his/her creative ideas. Tell the designer what you want, be as specific as possible, and let them work. When they get back to you with their first draft of the site...THEN tell them what you like, what needs to be changed, and other specs you need them to fill. Detail oriented is fine, actually preferred...but put some trust into the designer because you need to work together as a team, not as master/slave relationship.

I would advise being more open to long distance designers.

That's my input, i hope it helps you out a little bit, the only reason i caution you is because i have seen to many projects come out TERRIBLE because of the client being over-controlling. One more thing...You get what you pay for.

There are no jobs for this out there, and really haven't been for a number of years. Seriously. Web developers/etc. anymore are expected to know various programming languages, and you admit you pretty much know none. (HTML does not count.) In addition, you'd be expected to essentially be a graphic artist as well. Good luck.
