my 1 year old is passing white stools. Could it be because i switched her over to whole milk. or is it something serious?
Please help

Pale colored stools can be caused by many things. If they are white and chalky it could be due to liver function. If they are clay colored it could be from a nutritional deficiency or from celiac disease (www.celiac.com). Either way, he needs to see his doctor.

ummmm i doubt it's because you switched her over to whole milk because my baby has never had that happen to her and i have never heard of that happening to any other baby after being switched to whole milk. i didn't even think a person could produce white stools. you should talk to your baby's pediatrician.

Chalky white poop could indicate that there is no bile from the liver to digest food. Call the doc.
