Every pregnancy is different even if you've had more than one child. Not every woman notices they've lost a mucus plug, nor do they have the same signs of labor each and every time. You should be looking for steady contractions that make you have to stop what you're doing and concentrate on them, that's a sign of true, active labor. You also need to keep an eye on your discharge. If you're constantly leaking fluid and you've emptied your bladder, you could be leaking amniotic fluid. Not a huge reason for concern, but if your water breaks there is a risk of infection. If you think you're water has broken and you're having contractions, you could go ahead and call your doctor. Until then, relax!

Go and get checked out by your midwife, your back waters may have broken and if they have labor needs to be started within around 48 hours so theres less chance of infection, just remember that being checked out and being told to go home is better than the alternative.. good luck xx
