First it has to be a compatable web format (au, mov, wav, mp3) and it has to be uploaded to the webpages server, and inserted into the webpage using the tag, more info at http://www.webreference.com/js/column20/embed.html. I'm not familare with ColdFusion but I'm sure there is a way to embed an audio file into it, you'll just need to figure out where its located on your computer, you'll still need a web compatable format mostlikely, and like it to that, I'm not sure if it'll embed it like flash can or still need the origional audio file to load either.

ITunes uses a propriatory format, spacifily designed for your IPod but will play back in ITunes, not mp3.

I never said it couldn't be converted, all I said was that it had to be a compatable format, and that ITunes uses a propriatory format other than MP3.

Ignorant people, all of you!

You can convert your iTunes music into MP3 format. In fact, I'm fairly certain that it can be done with iTunes alone. If not, just do a Google search for AAC to MP3 conversion.

Even when you pay for the song, i-tunes is for your MP3 player only. Is it a new band on a small label? If so, maybe you could contact them directly and ask if you could pay to have them email you an MP3 for use on your site.
