I think the best way to discover good movies is to find out who directed a favorite movie that you have already seen, then go see other movies by that director. Generally speaking, the director has the greatest affect on the quality of the film.
If you don't mind subtitles, I would recommend anything directed by Kieslowski, or Tarkovsky.
My favorite American director is David Lynch, I think all of his films are great.

i liked Step Up, it was good, lots of cool dance moves and a love story...current movies I find intriguing are The Pursuit of Happyness (Will Smith and his real son, how cool is that? :) , We Are Marshall (matthew mcconaughey based on true football team drama), and Night at the Museum (Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson..haha, funny!)

Miami Vice, Talladega Nights, or The Descent...the best movies from this past summer. (Pirates of the Carribean 2 is overrated).

I would say Borat well i wud watch tht if you want a pure comedy or if you want some thing to get you in the festive spirit then the holiday should be gd or evn grounded !!!

I'm not sure what it's called but it hgas will smith n his son in it and it looks like a really good movie and he was on oprah n they showed even more previews and it looks good .I don't usually go to the movies but i might just to see that movie.

I would choose step up I heard that it is good because I seen it show the previews of it so I think you should watch it . Well have a good christmas.GOD BLESS

depends on ur taste in movies. Stranger than fiction was pretty good. But if ur looking DVD, then click was pretty good too. Rent was good too(if ur into musicals), but it's not typical musical; it's cool.
