the Ps3 IS out - it's BEEN out! however, it's really hard to get, just like the wii, and playstation has been notorious for having the first 1-3 types of it's system, the models, fail. if you got a ps3, chances are very likely that it won't work in six months
it's even harder to get the wii though - the lower price helped sell it out very well. there aren't too many games out yet, because it just came out - but it's a great find, and especially with the virtual console (able to put nes, snes, and sega games on it)
the xbox 360 is stable, has great games, and is much easier to find. - it's also the middle ground for pricing. it should retail for 399.99 for the premium package (white box) - no one really buys the regular (green box) model (299.99 - i think) because it doesn't come with the memory or something

The ps3 is just hard to get and expensive. Wii...not much games for it. Go w/ xbox 360.

Xbox 360. Chances are he wants to play games right now, and the best games out there right now are for the 360. It is just the overall best choice out there. (Especially since it contains the awesome xbox live) Also it is the best deal.

ps3 isnt out yet and the wii is crap..................the xbox 360 has GREAT graphics.......get that
