Well i got really in the spirit when I started decorating my house with the tree and all the decorations. I love Christmas because I honestly love giving to others. I got really in the spirit when I was baking stuff for my co-workers at the office. They all loved my brownies ;)

So you don't have any XMAS spirit? Don't feel bad, there are millions that don't have any either.
If you are away from loved ones, or have lost somebody that was close to you and this is the first year that they won't be here than the best thing that you can do is too find something that you did sometime in the past that always made you happy.
IF you went to the mall and went shopping, until your feet were ready to fall off, then go to the mall. If you don't have any money to spend, it doesn't cost anything to walk around and look at things.
If you went to church and sang carrols, then do that or find some place that is having a get together to sing carrols, it doesn't have to be a church.
If you spent time with your family, but find yourself away from them this holiday, and you need to share the company of an older person like your grandmother or an older person, there are thousands of older people in nursing homes that would love to sit and talk to somebody about anything. Some people are so lonely in those homes because their own family doesn't come see them, that they become angry and usually die without their family caring.
This is my first christmas without my mother. She died in February. Even though I didn't spend very many christmas's with her, I would always call her. I have my own family and try to make christmas as best as I can for my kids.
Sorry that this is so long. The bottom line is, nothing can get you in the XMAS spirt except yourself. If you don't want to be in the jolly happy mood that everybody thinks that they should be in, then don't be. Do whatever makes you happy. If somebody tells you Merry Christmas, say thank you, smile and same too you. You don't have to be Merry after you leave, just be happy doing what you want to be doing.

well, you can do what I do.... get on the computer, put in Sid Meier's Pirates and take over the carribean, or hop on the ps2 and level north korea. Nothing like a little video game mayhem and madness to set the holiday mood.

I live in my own world you see, but it ain't so bad. They know me here.
