I checked the control settings and it said I'm not on mute and my sound is on max volume.

First, if you have installed new sound hardware recently, check that it is operating correctly. Ensure that your volume control level is not on mute, and is high enough to hear. In your taskbar, you should see a small speaker/megaphone type symbol. Left click on that to make sure that your sound settings are loud enough. If they are and your problem is still not solved, go to the control panel (make sure you are in classic view) and click on Sounds and Audio Devices. Select the "Audio" tab at the top of the window that opened. Make sure that the device settings are set correctly. If not, correct this. If it is not recognizing or finding your sound hardware, consult your speakers' owner's manual. Hope this helps, and happy holidays!

Check for your speakers. Also, make sure you are not on mute. Go to the control panel and check for your sound driver.

Be sure your ears work okay, too.
