I hate to blow your good thoughts out of the water, but I hope you appreciate just how LITTLE of your money actually goes to the people/animals etc the charity is set up to help.

Most charities employ 'professional' marketers and administrators who earn salaries the rest of us would give our right arm for.

These senior employees often qualify for interest free loans to buy their homes etc. (All taken from the charity kitty).

Maybe you'll find a 'very small' charity that DOESN'T operate this way, but check their financial records (which should be public) before parting with your cash.

Investing in YOURSELF is the best way to help society. The more successful you become, the more you can help people 'genuinely'.

Throwing money at most charities is a fad that the rich and famous use to increase their public profile. Get sucked into it at your peril.

Good luck, Pete.

Your local social service welfare office or A church in your area can give you a name of a family who will not have a Christmas unless someone like yourself helps them.American Cancer Society or Diabetes Foundations are always good charities. God bless you for wanting to give.

the precedence with making an investment $one hundred and fifty is that transaction costs (the fee incurred in making the acquisition) are in all probability to devour up any earnings you're making. There are some concepts that are low or no fee yet in many circumstances they contain committing to make a purchase each month. once you've a prepared parent or uncle, tell them you're saving up sufficient to purchase some percentage in a mutual fund. Ask them in case you dedicate to go away your one hundred and fifty interior the business company for 3 years, will they tournament it? Take the three hundred to a economic company, get a CD, and upload to the money as you get some. once you get to $1000, seem into no-load mutual money. i love forefront (low costs) and S&P index money. do you want to retire rich? bypass to the library and initiate studying money mag each month. study, and do. that is extremely well worth the time. good success and congratulations, you're taking the first step!
