when i was i kid i did model rockets from kits. can i do that with my son now? or has 9/11 made them illegal? where can i find a kit?

i checked local craft stores that sell model ships and cars and pinewood derby stuff... no rockets.

any model shop has them just give them a call and they will hook you up.

Yes, you can still do model rockets. Do a search on the
internet and you will find them. I made about eight of them
about five years ago with a neighborhood kid and had lots
of fun shooting them off.

Rocketry is a thriving hobby. There are many manufacturers; Estes is still the largest.

Check out the National Association of Rocketry; there's probably a rocketry club near you.

Estes is still in business and I have seen their rockets at Hobby Lobby.

They're still legal, yeah.

I saw a bunch on eBay and here's a website for a prominant company.

Me and my brother used to do that.
