Trains, Planes And Automobiles is one funny film. Definitely the funniest film John Hughes made. SM kicking off in the hotel bedroom and at the car-rental check-in is superb. The music is superb, the frozen dog is great, and the bit where they are going down the freeway in the wrong direction is sublime.

Sadly, the ending is pure treacle but you have to put up with that with John Hughes films.

Without a doubt A Christmas Story. The blonde headed boy reminds me so much of the way I thought when I was a kid back in 1965. The kid with his tongue stuck to the flag pole. The family going down to buy a REAL Christmas tree. It all puts me back to my childhood.
