Is it just me or is there something wrong with them?

Why would they only producing a limited number of them? It doesn't make any sense from a marketing point of view.

People are more likely to spend large amounts of money at Christmas time then any other time, so why are not making more?

After christmas, people will have already spent a lot of money for presents on their kids, and wont be able to afford a 5 or 6 hundred dollar playstation.

THe people who sell them for large amounts of money is not benefiting the company that makes playstations.

Is there a problem with them and they might have to recall, and they dont want there to be too many out there??

I just dont understand why they are only making a limited amount.

Does anyone have any answers?

They were hoping that people would buy that for Christmas for their kids or them self's. Sony ran into manufacturing problems and they could not get out the amount of systems they said they would so that set them back. The people selling the PS3 are making more money and some are not going to make any but PlayStation is not loosing any money over it because those people had to buy it in the first place. I have a PS3 and I have no problems with it but with any new system when it comes out (PS3, Wii, 360 they all have their own problems)

So it is because of the manufacturing problems is why they have a limited amount but they are working hard to get them out.

Hope that clears some stuff up for you

Have a good Christmas

They are pumping them out as fast as they can. They limit the amount so that there is a rush to buy them as quickly as possible. There are also low numbers because of trouble manufacturing the Blu-ray players and other delays.

its basically to set up a testing atomosphere as well as promote the product. as they systems get sold out people would want them eventually greating a greater demand for them, leaving them to dictate prices. unethical?, we know
