My daughter had watery diarrhea for months when she was an infant. We went to doctor after doctor trying to figure out what was going on. We were even on a hypoallergenic formula and it only helped slightly. It turns out that my daughter and I (I was breastfeeding) have Celiac Disease. You can find more information at www.celiac.com and www.glutenfreeforum.com. See if the other symptoms possibly match. A rash is also consistent with Celiac Disease as well as excema rashes.

did she have a cold or virus recently? my daughter did the same thing everytime she had a cold, afterward she would get very bad diarrhea and a rash on her face. also her bum, but that's another story altogether. if so, put a bit of vaseline on her cheeks when she gets a nast stuffed up nose, it should prevent the rash, which is caused by irritation from mucus. the diarrhea will have to run it's course though.

Oh my God! People amaze me. If you are worried, SPEND MONEY! That is the advice they give. You did the right thing contacting the doctor. He tried to tell you not to worry, but be watchful. If she is not hurting, has not stopped eating, and the diarrhea has no blood in it, and she is sleeping ok. The rash and diarrhea are probably not related. Maybe the blanket has irritated her cheek, ( her skin is very sensitive). Definitely not time to worry!

If you're worried, request an appointment to have her seen. She's very young. Is she teething and drooling while she sleeps (causing the one-cheeked rash?) Just a thought.
Can look up "Fifth Disease" for the rash thing, also. http://kidshealth.org/parent/infections/bacterial_viral/fifth.html

it sounds like an allergy to me. If you're giving her formula, she may have a milk allergy. You could try soy formula... but it seems like you should get her back to the Dr. Diarreah is bad for babies becasue they can get dehydrated - especially bad over a long weekend.
hope this helps!
