Side line: -4 or +4
The (-) sign is the favored and (+) is the underdog. If you take Minn +4, in order for you to win the bet, Minn can't lose by more than 4 points. If you have Green Bay -4, in order for you to win the bet, Green Bay needs to win by more than 4 points. I had Green Bay -4.5 on Thursday, I lost that bet because they didn't win by 5 points or more (they didn't cover).

Over/Under line: Under 38.5 or Over 38.5
Is the combined score of both teams. I had Green Bay/Minn Under 38.5, I won the bet because the total score was 16 (Green Bay 9 - Minn 7). I was betting that the game was going to go under.

The -110 is called "the juice," it is the risking price. -110 means 'risking $110 to win $100' . Sometimes you'll see different juices such as -120 or +120, etc. +110 means 'risking $100 to win $110'. I had Green Bay -4.5 -110, it means that I risked $110 to win $100, but since I lost that bet, I lost $110 (duh!!).

There are multiple types of bets being combined for space. The display of these bets is not designed to educate the uniformed.

Number 1

Minnesota is being given 4 points to start the game. If Green Bay wins by 3, then Minnesota is said to have won the betting game.

The 4 points given to Minnesota is based on how many points Minnesota needs to make it a fair game. Translated differently, the betting public feels that Minnesota will lose by 4 points that day.

The bookies know this. By giving Minnesota 4 points, the number of people who bet money on Minnesota to win will match the number of people who bet on Green bay to win.

The actual facts of who is probably gong to win is not important. The betting line people are there to even the amount of money bet from both sides. Giving the perceived weaker opponent some points evens the betting. With the betting is exactly even, the bookies are the biggest winners.

Number 2.

Some people do not want to give points to the other teams whn betting, They just want to bet the final score.

You do this by adjusting the amount of money given to the winners. When betting just the final score many more people will bet for the stronger opponent. The bookies make money here as well. With uneven betting on either side, the bookies compensate with uneven payments.

For example, a common bet will be -250 +200 for an uneven game.

The stronger team will have more bettors, so you have to bet 250 dollars to win 100

The weaker team will have fewer betters, so you have to bet 100 to win 200.

This difference in payment compensates for the number of prople who will bet for the stonger team.

The bookies always make 10% so in an evenly matched game, every one has to bet 110 dollars to make 100.

Number 3

Some people like to bet offence vs defence.

Will it be a high scoring game or will it be a low scoring game. For example, what are the weather conditions at game time. That effects how many points both teams combines will score.

With a final score of 20 to 18. The total score would be 38. The defences would win.

The Green Bay -4, means that if you bet on Green Bay they must win by more than 4 points in order for you to win your bet. So if you bet on Green Bay and they win by 3 you lose your money but if they win by more than 4 you win.

The 38.5 is the total amount of points in the game. So if you bet "over" you are betting that both teams combined will score over 38.5 points in the game.

This is deep and very spiritual. The roots of sin are spiritual. You can walk past some temptations to sin very easily, and some takes time, and some you keep falling into and comning out of till your free? Hopefully. Jesus resisted sin at the Root of it All. satan had Nothing in Jesus. Jesus knew what was in men.
