I am 38 weeks. Is there any way for the doctor to tell how big the baby is before she is born besides doing a ultrasound?

Yes your baby is able to hear you when you talk to her in the womb.
The doctor can take a guess at how big your babe is going to be, but it won't necissarily be acurate. With my daughter they were sure she would weigh at least 8 pounds. (Scared me to death) then she came out and was 6 pounds 8 ounces.

she deffinetly hears u ... and try putting a key or so on the ur stomach and u wil find out she kicks slightly ... its really amazing worked all the time with my mom
and the doctor can tell if he is real good by simply touching aorund ur stomach .. even wil b able to knw the babys position

It is nice to think he can hear you (unless you are saying very bad things), then you will have some explaining to do. Just an Educated guess on the weight.

yes! Baby was able to hear you at about five months. Keep talking to her, she will know your voice when she is born. I'm pregnate with my third! Congrads

yes they are, i used to talk to my baby and play with him , now i have the happiest baby i've ever seen

yes it is actully and it can hear running water and other noises like loud music
