We are all familiar with the stereotypical spies from Hollywood movies. Sexy, strong, sensitive, rugged, women wooing spies who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. But does anyone know what exactly REAL spies do, and if their jobs are as exciting as the movies make them out to be?

They find out what would not otherwise be found out, I guess, about information that was meant to be kept entirely secret.

It might not always be glamorous. But dangerous, I would think. Cause' if organizations or countries want they're information kept secret, and they catch someone who is trying to figure it out, they are gonna be in big trouble one way or another.

And it is a very needed occupation. Because some of that stuff is probably really dangerous.

I think the most glamorous part might be, having to pretend you are someone you are not, to get to the inside edge.

To infiltrate a group. Exciting question!

We never, ever, had any real spies. All we ever had were a bunch of Yalie Skull and Bones preppies playing at spy. the Us ran home to Mama England for help setting up the CIA. The MI-5 agent that was tasked with helping the CIA was a Russian mole. So the Soviets knew everything about the CIA, agents, assignments, operations, etc.
