I didn't....I just thought we would see less of her because she might just disappear after that.Lol. But...hey...I was 12 when it came out. Kid's opinion back then.:P

In The Mask she was delicious eye candy but did not demonstrate much in the way of acting skills. She hasn't demonstrated any additional skills since and she hasn't aged well.

Well it wasn't the 'turning point' of her career because it was her FIRST movie. That means NOBODY knew who she was when the Mask premiered! Now, if you're question was did we think she would make it big AFTER she was in Mask, then my answer would be much different. But I'm obligated to answer the question you've asked. Anytime an unknown is seen in their first movie it is impossible to predict their future until AFTER the movie is released and they are seen by the masses. But to guess before the movie premiers is just voodoo man. Voodoo. LOL!

She was already big by the time I saw the movie, but her skills & vivaciousness were absolutely undeniable.
