Wrap a banana skin around it and bandage it in place. It brings out the bruise quite fast and starts the healing process quicker. It also lessens the pain. Rescue remedy, a Bach flower remedy helps alleviate panic.

I am a licensed nail tech and what I tell my clients is to relax, put an ice pack over it, and let it bruise. Once it bruises, it will do one of two things, either it will cause the nail to lift from the nail bed, and your nail may come off eventually, and painlessly! Or it will just grow out. IF your nail does fall off, don't worry, because it will grow back. I see this all the time! Good luck, and take care!

Put some ice on it. If the pain increases, you may have to go to the ER...they can drill a fine hole in it and relieve the pressure. I know that sounds awful, but it is called trephining. The pain will go away. If you damaged the nail bed, you may lose this nail eventually.

ice it for about a day or to then put some type of warm substance on it. a heating pad would work best to ease the pain make sure you keep it still as possible dont try to use it try to use ur other hand dont worry ull be fine give it about a week.

Ice it and you may lose your fingernail.

Panicking is a waste of time. The damage is already done.

If no nail is hanging or blood flowing - you will be fine. Give it a week. It is going to hurt for a while.
