if thie is true it would be a very good incentive for these people to blow them selves and others up, after all men have died for one hell of a lot less, my queston is where do they get these virgins? and has anyone been reincarnated to assure that they will recieve these blesssings? I would think these men would want to have a little more assurance than just a meek promise frmo some rag head before he made the ultimate sacrifice, as they might want to tell him to get Mrs, hand and her daughters, just my luck

However, what is true, is the fact that these suicide bombers creat terror among the invading army; the occupiers are awed at the dedication and love of these "martyr" for their family and their motherland.

Whether they get 72 or 7 virgins , or they get none, it is true that the majority of the invading soldiers worry about the infidelity of their wives and girlfriends (a US network carried the story in detail very recently). And those who did not volunteer, are smooching the "angels" in this land of the free and the home of the brave. Do those innocent soldiers know what they are fighting for?

Well, lets forget the numbers or their purpose. I asked this of a couple of co-workers who are practicing Muslims.

1. One cannot be a martyr dying at their own hand.
2. One cannot enter heaven if they commit suicide.
3. One cannot enter heaven with the blood of an innocent on their hands (even an innocent non-believer.)

what I've wondered about is - don't they run out? I mean if one guy has his 70, the next guy can't have any one of those because they're not virgins anymore.... exponentially, it won't work out...

and what if they're wrong anyway? they can't come back and tell the others...

Of course its not true. When you become a martyr you're
usually dead. Dead people don't get virgins they get worms
and bugs. Although I do not know if those particular worms
and bugs might be virgins or not.
