So, I closed my Dell Inspiron B130...and then I opened it again a few hours later, and I got a message talking about some error that was set against a blue background. I forgot exactly what the message said, but it had to do with my computer having to shut down and, if necessary, contact Dell. Anyway, I've tried turning it on by pressing the "on" button many times, and the computer just won't start. The start-up light comes on for a few seconds, but then it goes out and nothing happens. I have no idea what to do...was there some sort of fatal error that just broke my computer? Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? I'm really frustrated...and ideas about what to do with this Dell B130?

first of all, the first guy doesnt know shiiit about dell and laptops, he just heard something from another moron and is repeating it here. dells are great, i have an inspiron myself and it works great, i have never had any problem like yours, but i would take out the battery and put it in again, try it without the battery too and see what happens.
then just call dell and they will tell you what to do.
dell inspiron rocks....

Definitely try system restore. (Start, --> All Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Restore) Another opting is repeatedly tap f8 whens starting the laptop, you should get and Advanced Boot screen. Using your arrow keys, go to "Last Known Good Configuration", and hit enter. That may be a simple fix, but if that doesn't help, definitely try system restore back to a time when it was working. Hope this helps!

first of all, you made the foolish mistake of purchasing a Dell computer...second, this just goes to prove to everyone what i've been saying all along, that Dells are absolute garbage...ok well, it could be a hibernation problem most likely...it could be that when you go to turn it on, the computer is missing a startup process and not loading your OS...could be a virus or something to that affect...and my two ideas are to call customer service, or to just run it over

Unplug it and remove the battery. Then plug it back in and try to start it.
