is it because French men are wicked?
i think he does not want to build his team around a player that might not be around next yr.
that is wicked bcos he is killin Baptista's career and is not advertising him enough.

I dont think its because he's wicked because we've already seen what he's achieved with arsenal. I agree, He should be playing baptista more. He's a quality player and there must be a reason why they call him "the beast". Thats somethin wenger would have to answer. If it was me, I would put him on the middle with fabregas.

It is because he is Brazilan and all the big Brazilan and world class players who end up in the Premiership don't play well (experts go on about pace, but the spanish league can be quite pacy, I think it is consistancy which knocks the big players) and end up going back to the Spanish or Italian leagues and then say the premiership is rubbish. I can only think of one successful brazilan player in the Premieship and that was Juninho. Just look at the failures of foriegn players in the premiership:

Crespo, Veron, Shevcenko (so far), Forlan (look how many goals he scored for Villarreal)

Now look at all the players currently playing in the National brazil squad:

GK Júlio César 3 September 1979 11 0 Italy Inter Milan
GK Helton 18 May 1978 1 0 Portugal Porto
DF Juan 1 February 1979 47 2 Germany Leverkusen
DF Luisão 13 February 1981 21 2 Portugal Benfica
DF Alex 17 June 1982 7 0 Netherlands PSV
DF Gladstone 29 January 1985 0 0 Brazil Cruzeiro
DF Maicon 26 July 1981 18 1 Italy Inter Milan
DF Daniel Alves 6 May 1983 1 0 Spain Sevilla FC
DF Adriano 26 October 1984 7 0 Spain Sevilla FC
DF Carlinhos 23 January 1987 0 0 Brazil Santos
MF Dudu Cearense 15 April 1983 9 0 Russia CSKA Moscow
MF Tinga 13 January 1978 3 0 Germany Borussia Dortmund
MF Fernando 3 May 1981 1 0 France Bordeaux
MF Denílson 16 February 1988 0 0 England Arsenal
MF Ronaldinho 21 March 1980 71 27 Spain Barcelona
MF Kaká (Captain) 22 April 1982 47 17 Italy A.C. Milan
MF Diego 28 February 1985 13 2 Germany Werder Bremen
MF Elano 14 June 1981 7 2 Ukraine Shakhtar
MF Daniel Carvalho 1 March 1983 3 1 Russia CSKA Moscow
FW Robinho 25 January 1984 32 5 Spain Real Madrid
FW Ricardo Oliveira 5 May 1980 10 3 Italy A.C. Milan
FW Rafael Sóbis 17 June 1985 4 0 Spain Real Betis

None of them except for Denílson Pereira Neves at Arsenal are in the current sqaud. Not even Gilberto. Why, because Brazil players fear theat they will fail in the Premiership and often do. Gilberto is not a creative player but a defensive player, thus the reason why he is more suitable for the Premiership, however the question is why don't the rest of Brazilan defensive players play in the premiership, the only reasons I can think of are:

Cultural differences (Reyes said that everything closes at 5pm in England, which is not true)
The pace of the Premiership
Creativity of the Spanish La liga
Failures of other Brazilan players in the premiership.
They think the Premiership is overated
England is too cold and wet

Of course many players from abroad are now in the Premiership and very successful. I am quite surprised how many Spanish players which are now successful in the Premiership mainly at Liverpool but that their success might only be down to the Spanish Manager. However the main successful foriegn players in the Premiership are French (pacy, defensive and more suitable to our culture) German (Germanic similarities bwetween us and them), African (colonial similarities) and Portugese (Many of them did not play in the Premiership until Mourinho came).

I think one of the reasons why he's been limited in his playing time is due to the fact that he is on loan technically. If Wenger starts putting him in for more time and starts doing much better, Baptista will probably be going back to Real Madrid by the end of the season. Wenger has wanted Baptista for quite a while because he's a strong attacking midfielder, something that Arsenal needs. To lose him at the end of the season isn't part of Wenger's plans.

I totally agree with u
i think he leave out baptista because arsenal midfield is too congested with talents already and baptista has not yet to match up with any of them.
i mean there are HLEB, FABREGAS,GILBERTO,FLAMINI,LJUNBERG, ROSICKY AND GANG
bt i also think it's unfair because after the exchange deal, reyes got to play 1st team in real madrid but baptista is still a rookie.
he doesn't really play a lot in real madrid too right?
so it's kinda like his fate to be a benchwarmer.
he needs more time and maybe more chances to shine
he doesn't run fast enough and his midfield playmaker skills & mentallity is not good yet.

BUT when he join arsenal. arsene wenger ( or whoever in arsenal?) said that baptista can be their new vieira, yeap this is true. but i don't know what's happening now aha

Not sure. Maybe for more rest. He will surely be needing Baptista in the Champions League. It would be a huge mistake leaving him out of the starting eleven.
