Can't say there won't be a bit of nagging from time to time but yes they can live happily together. I am the biggest clean freak and my husband is the messy pig. The first couple years of our marriage is so frustrating but now he know what i except for the most part, like socks go in the basket and towels don't go on the floor, get something out put it back etc. We have been married 6 years and are very happy.

i could say someplace in the middle, yet i'm no longer messy in any respect. I hate messiness and ailment. i like each and every thing so as, i've got faith each and every thing has a place. and that i do in contrast to muddle. yet i'm no longer a neat freak because of the fact i'm no longer a individual who cleans and re-cleans, and sits up questioning approximately cleansing. I basically sparkling each and every thing a minimum of as quickly as an afternoon. i do no longer think of this is a neat freak. in line with threat basically a neat individual!

My husband is ex-military and I am a complete slob. We decided from the first that he would have certain areas of the house which must be kept clean-kitchen, living room, his desk, etc. I would have my spots where I could pile my stuff without him complaining-my dresser, my desk, my closet, etc.

When common ground starts to get a little too cluttered he gently reminds me that maybe its time to go through that stack of mail, or sort that laundry. He is very good about a gentle reminder and never nags me. This works well for us.

Yes, but they can drive each other crazy! My mil is a total clean freak, and fil is a slob. But they've been married over 40 years, so I guess they worked it out.
