If it didn't have the slot for connection why would you expect the card will work? Simpler way: if the Dell has some slot to fit the 5200 then it works if there's no slot, then the 5200 would not work at all. There is no adapter that can let an AGP card fitting a PCI slot.

the answer in which you're instructed to get a extra recent card misses the point of your question. I have and use very fortunately both an X1600 AGP and an X1650 PCI-E. They more beneficial than blow away the NV. The FX5200 replaced right into somewhat of crap at the same time as it got here out, perchance basically overwhelmed because the worst card of its day with the help of the S3 VirGE. those who back save in options the Decelerater, I ask for forgiveness to. as some thing else of your equipment is truly dated, (S478, 865PE chipset, DDR), you received't be able to recreation at as severe a factor as you may choose. The video card you're asking about has different limits, (DX9, MSAA isn't a lot good right here, low ROPs, restricted inner bandwidth), yet in case you drop the decision and reduce the interest sweet, you have to be able to play on line truly satisfactorily. i exploit both actual one of mine on Steam and characteristic no actual complications. My video games on Steam contain Audiosurf, HalfLife 2, HL2 DM, lost Coast, Quake a million, 2, 3, Trackmania, Unreal experience 3. i'm hoping this facilitates. good success.
