I am trying to buy frugally. Our Xmas celebration is on New Years Eve, so I feel in no rush to buy presents in the next two days with the super tards that have taken over the mall this weekend. Do you think after Christmas prices on stuff like childrens toys will be higher or lower than before Christmas?

In the US I guess after Christmas everything will go down in prices. Because it is over.

Here in Europe, specially in Spain the prices will remain the same because kids receive more presents on the 6th of January (The Three Kings).

I'm sure that at most stores, the prices will go down after Christmas, especially if they're overstocked in items. They'll want to get rid of the items at a reduced amount and still make a profit.

I have friends who celebrate Christmas in January.
They shop after Christmas (Dec 25th) and get many bargains.

Many stores are trying to unload their inventory before year end and you can find low priced items.

They always go down as retailers try to reduce stock in hand before they have to take year end inventory.
