Amazon.com has a way you can publish your own book and sell it online. That's all the info I have; my friend is doing it. Check their site.

Cheapest isn't always the best.
For example, Amazon will put your book on their site, but they take a crippling percentage in commission if any copies are sold.
The cheapest way I suppose is to put it up on Myspace.
What I did was to put my own website up, and put small ads in the local press from time to time, advertising my titles.
More expensive, but I keep all the money from the sales.

Word of mouth, I'd say. You tell enough people, they'll tell people if they like it, someone might promote it on their website because they enjoyed it so much, etc. People will read your book just out of something new to do, and assuming that they enjoy it others will too.
