Absolutely!!! I have many guns in my house, for just such an occasion. I am a former Marine, and a hunter. I woulkd feel safer shooting the bad guys myself. After all look at how bad our Police shoot.
Besides, there are not enough police or military to protecdt everyone. I suggest you get yourself a gun and bullets and be prepared to protect yourself. Its your right

Yoo Hoo...did you notice we were invaded 9/11/2001, by terrorists????

A country cannot be invaded by terrorists. Terrorists by definition are a NON-STATE entity - a paramilitary organisation. They would have to be enormous to think of invading just about any developed country larger than andora, the vatican or monaco. Terrorists can only infiltrate a country in much the same way that spies do.

Terrorists also usually use unsophisticated weapons - they don't use f-18s, tanks and warships, just AK-47s, RPGs and suicide bombs. How could these people, using these weapons ever invade a foreign country (how would they get there to start with), undermine a trained army so well that normal citizens have to defend themselves as the military has fallen?

HOWEVER - if we perhaps changed this to if a foreign country invaded, then yes I would, as would most people. Of course this foreign country would refer to us resisters as terrorists, and insurgents.

Of course.
If you are asking us to look at this from the average Iraqi citizens point of view, however. I think most of them are glad to be rid of a dictator who used fear to control his people. Remeber he was a terrible man who did immoral things to his own people. He killed 1000's for having different political and religious beliefs.
I don't believe the unrest and fighting is the average citizens. It's the Islamic extremists who are coming from other countries. The Sunnis want to win control in Iraq. The Shiites want to win control in Iraq.
It is interesting to wonder how religion, race, and socio-economical standing would affect Americans if another country tried to invade. Hmm?

Those gun crazy Republicans would fight the terrorists, just like they are doing in Iraq.
What would the Democrats do?

Sure, and I'm glad the citizenry of Iraq weren't completely disarmed, or things over there would probably be even worse. Now if they'll just trust each other a little bit more, maybe they can use their AK's a bit less and everything will work out.

You better believe it. I'm prepared for any eventuality. I am not a survivalist, but I do believe in being prepared for any possibility.

I'd use whatever I could get to protect my family from whomever. Not just terrorists.

yes and I would use guns if anyone attacked me or my family. I am NRA and believe all Americans have that right. If you are not an armed citizen then you are just a subject.
