To set up a music oriented form / messageboard you've got 3 choices.

1) Sign-up for free remotely hosted messageboard at somewhere like http://www.proboards.com/

2) Set-up a yahoo group, which is kinda like a messageboard on steroids.

The 3rd & final option will cost you a small amount of money, as it involves getting webhosting from a company that allows you to run CGI / PHP scripts on your webspace. Personally I prefer 1&1 Internet @ http://www.1and1.com / http://www.1and1.co.uk and using a forum script called YaBB, available from http://www.yabbforum.com/ - which is the option I eventually went for back in 2002 after I got sick of being able to do practically jacksh*t with the free messageboard hosts.... and lost 2 in 6months from them deciding to stop providing messageboards for free.
