Give her plenty of fresh fruit and veg and put extra bedding in with her on a regular basis. You WILL need to separate the male as he will mate with any female that is available at the first opportunity mum will let you handle the babies quite happily as rearing of the young is a team effort in their eyes
good luck

Give her extra food whilst she is pregnant, make sure she has loads of water and hercage is extra clean and warm. Once she has given birth SEPARATE her from the male, as they will mate again almots immediatly. She will give birth very soon, thier pregnancies dont last long. the babies will be born furyy and will start feeding normal food in a couple of days. they will be able to walk around, and can have theyre own babys VERY soon. so separate them! They have no issues with mating with brothers, sisters, dads etc. it becames a mad cycle of inbred guinea pigs otherwise.
try to arrange homes for the babies now, the local pet shops, your friends or Loot ads shoudl do it. Find out how to determine if theyre are male and female so people know when they get them, otherwise theyll have the same prob as you.
From personal experince guinea pigs are even more prolific than rabbits so be very careful in future, you will have to completely separate the two pigs, or give away one.
Oh, and expect between 2 and 6 babies.
To check if she is pregnant pick her up with her head facing you, then lift her butt in the air. if she has 2 big lumps at her side she is prob pregnant. not very technical, but pretty effective.

It varies with some guinea pigs usually about 65 days or more. They normally have 5 as arule. They need lots of fresh water calcium tablets a good supply of fruit and vegetables and hay.It also best to give her some space from the male so she can give birth in peace. After she has given birth do not put her back with the male because she needs lots of rest before any more pregnancies otherwise stress of more births can make the guinea pig more stressed. Good luck

If she is used to being held you can always check by squeezing the nipple if milk comes out then she is due to give birth any time now as she usually produces it between 3-5 days before birth. Gross I know! The other way to check that she is pregnant is sit her on your knee or a flat surface where she can't move and hold your hands at either side of her stomach, you can press very very gently or just hold your hands there and you should feel some movement.
Good luck!

Gestation period for a guinea pig is 65-70 days. They don't have any special feeding requirements, but remember guinea pigs can't make their own vitamin c, so they need plenty of fruit and vegetables - broccoli is a good source. The male and female can be left together because the male won't kill the babies, but remember they will keep breeding!!

i haven't had a pregnant piggie, so i do no longer comprehend how long their pregnancies final, even with the undeniable fact that it is going to no longer be extra beneficial than a month or 2 i could think of. there's no longer lots you are able to desire to be doing in any different case to look after her. basically verify she has adequate nutrition and in keeping with possibility supply her some vegetables( darkish green leafies) attempt for something with diet C. Guinea pigs and people are the only animals that isn't be able to produce diet c so as that they like a furnish on a daily basis. maximum vegetables have adequate. additionally ensure you keep the cage very clean, or a minimum of clean out the factors that get dirtiest each and every couple of days and clean the entire cage each and every week or so. additionally you have got have already got figured this out, yet your piggies will proceed to reproduce till you take care of it. The babies additionally can reporduce at a marginally youthful age so save that for the period of suggestions. when you consider that your guinea pigs are already bonded, I advise getting the male neutered. it may be nicer than isolating them. Guinea pig babies are very lovable, even with the undeniable fact that it may get puzzling once you get too many. once you notice the piggie babies have arrived, it may desire to be a reliable thought to take the father out for a pair of days. Male guinea pigs in many situations make reliable fathers, however the mother could desire to wish some relax. Afterewards you are able to placed him back in, he could desire to be high quality with the babies. yet you may desire to comprehend, the mother can get pregnant back interior of days of having her babies. reliable success!
