she will be pregnant for three months and the baby will be born like a little miniature of the parents. as for separating them i do not know . with rabbit you have to . as the male and female will start fighting . as this is your first i would keep them apart . to be on the safe side , but there might be some one else that may say different. and they could be right as far as i know.

I've never had a pregnant piggie, so I don't know how long their pregnancies last, But it shouldn't be more than a month or two I would think. There isn't much you need to be doing differently to care for her. Just make sure she has enough food and maybe give her some veggies( dark green leafies) try for something with vitamin C. Guinea pigs and humans are the only animals that can't produce vitamin c so they need a supply every day. Most veggies have enough. Also make sure you keep the cage very clean, or at least clean out the areas that get dirtiest every couple of days and clean the entire cage every week or so.
Also you may have already have figured this out, but your piggies will continue to reproduce until you do something about it. The babies also can reporduce at a rather young age so keep that in mind. Since your guinea pigs are already bonded, I suggest getting the male neutered. It would be nicer than separating them. Guinea pig babies are very cute, but it can get difficult when you get too many. When you notice the piggie babies have arrived, it might be a good idea to take the daddy out for a couple of days. Male guinea pigs typically make good fathers, but the mom might need some rest. Afterewards you can put him back in, he should be fine with the babies. But you should know, the mom can get pregnant again within days of having her babies. Good luck!

I have bred them along time ago- its about 8-12 weeks but i cannot remember for sure- My males never hurt the babies at all and I also know a friend who had them and her males stayed in with the female- the main issues is that he will try to remate her within 2 hours and she will fall pregnant again and that is not healthy- I suggest you her another pen for the boy andkeep them close so they can still talk to each other. you will find a pet store may give you a few dollars for the babies!.... or you can keep the baby girls and maybe kep the boys with Dad.....
Hope this helps!

supply her extra nutrition on an analogous time as she is pregnant, verify she has various water and hercage is extra clean and heat. as quickly as she has given delivery SEPARATE her from the male, as they'll mate back almots immediatly. she would be able to furnish delivery very quickly, thier pregnancies dont final long. the babies would be born furyy and could commence feeding general nutrition in a pair of days. they are going to be waiting to stroll around, and could have theyre very own babys VERY quickly. so separate them! they have not have been given any themes with mating with brothers, sisters, dads and so on. it becames a mad cycle of inbred guinea pigs in any different case. attempt to rearrange properties for the babies now, the close by puppy shops, your pals or Loot classified ads shoudl do it. discover out a thank you to make sure if theyre are lady and male so people comprehend whilst they get them, in any different case theyll have an analogous prob as you. From very own experince guinea pigs are much extra prolific than rabbits so be very careful in destiny, you will could desire to thoroughly separate the two pigs, or supply away one. Oh, and anticipate between 2 and 6 babies. to envision if she is pregnant %. her up together with her head dealing with you, then carry her butt interior the air. if she has 2 great lumps at her section she is prob pregnant. no longer very technical, yet distinctly powerful.

You never buy 2 guinea pigs of differant sexes and put them together, you are asking for disaster, they will breed and breed and breed. you'll have more guinea pigs than you'll know what to do with. They have to be in pairs as they like the company, but same sexes. Split them up whenshe has had the babies and keep the sexes seperate. not to sure how long the pregnancy lasts, but I dont think it will be too long. She will look after them ok herself. They do like being handled and cuddled, please give them some time.
