I did....

I took my $5,000 and spent it at stores that don't threaten firing employees for saying Merry Christmas.

I can't wait to see Best Buys sales numbers for this Christmas.

If the employees are still allowed and encouraged to say "Happy Holidays", I don't know why people got so upset by this. Isn't Christmas a holiday? It's like getting upset by someone saying "hey guys" instead of " hey Jim, hey Rory, hey Marco, hey Tony..."

The reason why they are not alound to say "Merry Christmas" is because people who don't celibrate christmas feel affended. If this has been told to the employees then there has been (I know this for a fact) people who have complained, and pressed charges against Best Buy/Futureshop stores. A family friend of Manager of Best Buy/Futureshop For a few provences, He's been involved in a few of these law suites. I do not agree that they should be threatened to be fired if they say "Merry Christmas" but I also do not agree on people pressing charges against a store because they do not celibrate Christmas. They are both at fult. Also by boycotting a store, the company loses out on sales and then they have to lay off employees, so its a lose-lose situation.

Best Buy doesn't want to offend anyone.

News Flash: Not everyone celebrates Christmas. It would be like going up to a black guy and saying Happy Kwanzaa just because he's black. The same way goes for Christmas. Don't assume everyone celebrates it. Happy Holidays is a generic that serves everyone.

Best buy is a whore anyways.

You need to make a stand about something more important than whether or not a store recognizes Christmas over all other holidays. There are many more important things going on in this world.

I did. I purchased every where else! I understand that not everyone celebrates Christmas, but I only shop at Circuit City anyways. Best Buy is not a good place for people of color to be.

Merry Christmas to you!

I didn't know this was going on but now that I know, I'm glad I didn't do any shopping there. I know that many retailers don't use Christmas in their advertisements. What is this world coming too?
