maybe the mascara is too dry when you apply it? try adding a drop of water.
also, mascara is a product that if you buy cheap, it will look cheap. like lipstick, for example.
It's probably the most expensive item of makeup that i buy. i use lancome and i think the way the applicator is designed has a lot to do with it. you should be able to find it at a department store for about $20 or so. Sometimes they even have free gifts with a makeup purchase and include 2 mini mascaras.
when you apply it make sure you are only brushing it on about two or three times after you skim the brush off of the container to get rid of the excess mascara.
If you want length more than anything, only apply a few times like i said and use a curler if you have one.
Good Luck!!!

If you've tried a lot of mascaras, then it may not be the type of mascara, it may be that you don't exactly know how to apply it properly... You may be putting too much, because I know when I put on a lot my lashes stick together and get clumpy. It only takes a stroke or two of the mascara brush... Or maybe you are applying the right amount but you don't have one of those eyelash brushes to brush through your eyelashes and get rid of the clumps and extra mascara... I would recommend purchasing an eyelash brush and see if that helps... Here is a picture of what I'm talking about, if that helps... you can buy the eyelash brushes anywhere like Walmart, CVS, Eckards... good luck...

Actually the best mascaras I have used is from Max Factor one of them is Masterpiece mascara and the other one is Lash Lift also from Max Factor. I have also tried Volum Express turbo boost by Maybelline. But I can tell that the mascaras from Max Factor is the best. I also know that Lancome has some really good mascaras that doesn't clump...
I hope you got some help.. Good Luck

I use various ones...none of which clump. You may be applying too many coats at once though. I like "Bare Escentuals" Tease. The brush has two areas so u can use the "feathered" looking side to coat and separate your lashes at the same time. I also use Maybelline Great Lash.
If you are adding too many coats to your lashes because you want them to stand out, consider curling them first so that they'll be noticeable and then apply a coat of mascara. You shouldn't have to add any more, but if you do, wait til the first coat dries.

You can use DiorShow=Amazing, and Electric Lash by Too Faced. It really is beautiful, and has a second tube with glitter mascara for parties, etc. I always use a brush though after I put on any mascara because there will always be a clump or two.

I use a clear mascara for the first coat and a black one for the second coat. It makes your lashes look full and not all stuck together. Also washing your mascara brush once in a while helps a lot too!!!!!

I have an amzing mascara, the best I've ever used. It's called '' Magnif'eyes '' and it's by Rimmel. I have never had clumps with it, and it evens out perfecty, as well as thickening and lengthening the lashes. I had the same problem as you until I found this! Hope this helped, Merry Christmas! x
p.s. don't do what guru says, PLEASE. x
