If your vehicle is in 4WD it will not "smoke" the tires. It will have to be in 2WD. Most AWD vehicles will automatically remove power from a spinning tire and transfer it to a gripping tire. Therfore, as soon as one tire would get to the point of breaking loose it will loose torque and never "smoke".

First off, why? It's a durango, not a Cuda or a Charger. Second, depends on the tires, if they're street tires, maybe, if mud tires, probably not. Third, I think it would take a little more torque than what the Durango can put out to spin the AWD tires.

No, but tire dealers love anybody that smokes tires on any vehicle. It is the idiot way of scrubbing thousands of miles of life right off the tread.

well inov8ted is correct, but you also bring a large shock into the driveline and wouldnt recommend doing it,regardless who makes the vehicle.joe is correct in his explanation of how this system is intended to work.if you do as inov8ted suggest you run a good risk of damaging the driveline before long,as its not designed to be abused that way
