mineral spirits, you can find it anywhere they sell paint thinner or aceatone.
It will eat away the adhisive and not hurt whatever surface its on, even safe on painted surfaces such as cars. I used this a lot when I was doing vehicle graphics. apply a liberal amount at first and let it soak in for a few min. you will need to keep reapplying it as you wipe away the parts that are desolving. hope this helps, good luck.

with a hair dryer on low and not too close as to heat the paint and make it bubble, gently heat the tape and pry it up with a non invasive instrument such as a soft plastic spoon.
