what is the coolest animal and why?

I'm trying to find a new theme, and I'm basing it on animals. I think I like big cats, but if you can give me another reason why another animal is better then great. I need captivating facts- something that will wow people when they here it. thanks

I think the coolest animal is definitely a cheetah- even if u don't like big cats they are kool. I dont' like cats at all, but this one is really kool.

the scientific name is Acinonyx Jubatus
They can run up to 70miles per hour- the fastest land animal.
Cheetahs are really BUILT FOR SPEED. they're body design helps them run faster.
The king cheetahs are really kool- they have this kind of mark-you should see a picture-visit wikipedia or something. Wiki gives the entire description

The most fantastic animal to me is the thylacine, otherwise known as the Tasmanian tiger. Unfortunately it lived only in Australia, and was rendered extinct by hunters in the 1920s, although there have been reported sightings since then.

It looked, at first glance like a wild dog or wolf, except that it had stripes. A notable feature was its gape - it had to be seen to be believed. It was a marsupial, which meant that it carried its young in pouches. And when it stood on its back legs, it looked more like a kangaroo than a wolf.

There are some photographs in existence. If you Google it, you will see why I think it's such an amazing animal.

If you like big cats, by all mean, carry on. Whatever you like go for it. For me the coolest animal is the Philippine Eagle (the Monkey Eating Eagle). It is twice bigger than the American Bald Eagle. It’s probably the largest eagle in the world although I think Brazil also has a large eagle. Charles Lindberg, the Aviation pioneer, tried to help preserve it and got it renamed from the Monkey Eating Eagle to the Philippine Eagle. There are only 500 pairs left but they're trying to help preserve it since it's now a National Bird. I like it because it flies (I like flying/aviation) and it’s free.

I once got assigned to do an essay on slime molds, when everyone else got the cool animals! After a bit of research I found slime molds were amazing little beasties - in one type for instance, the individual cells wander round as little amoebae, totally independant, then come together into a sluglike thingy and move and produce a spore structure like a multicellular organism. How mindblowing is that!

I THINK MEERKATS ARE REALLY COOL BECAUSE THEY LOOK AFTER THEIR YOUNG SO CLOSELY AND MAKE SACRAFICES IN ORDER FOR THEM TO BE OKAY. SOON AFTER THE YOUNG ARE BORN, ONE MEERKAT GOES AND BECOMES A SENTINAL- HE KEEPS WATCH AS THE OTHER ADULTS GATHER FOOD FOR THE YOUNGSTERS AND THE SENTINAL DOES THIS TO THE POINT OF LOSING LIKE 14% OF HIS OWN BODY WIEGHT AS IT TAKES MORE THAN AN AFTERNOON TO GATHER FOR THE LIL ONES. I THOUGHT THAT WAS AWESOME.
