be cause you have alot of foriegner's over here forcing us except there gods and etc. We have to be all politically correct and sensitive to those whom don't believe in christ etc. We have respect there gods they could worship zebras and we have to respect them but when u go to there country they don't make allowances for our beliefs . they don't tell the ppl in the village to stop chanting etc. but we have to stop saying Merry Christmas. Well i haven't stoppped its been Christ-mas to me for decades and its gonna stay that way so all these different faiths you are in AMERica so leave ya old ideals at your country side and stop trying to make us conform to your gods and etc.

The "powers that be" can't tell you what to say. Go ahead and say Merry Christmas. Just don't get all hinky if someone responds with Happy Holidays or Happy Kwanza or Happy Solstice.

For me too, and if you know the person you're sending it to celebrates Christmas, feel free to write "Merry Christmas". If you're unsure, though - perhaps they are a different religion - then Happy Holidays is a nicer way of sending season's greetings without making presumptions on their religion.

Because a lot of people let the media dictate to them what to think, how to feel etc etc etc It is Christmas and always will be Christmas Merry Christmas. They are trying to create a politically correct world in a non pc atmosphere.

Actually, you can only allow people to have power over you if you are easily controlled. If you follow or are controlled by someone who says to use 'Happy Holidays', then feel free to do that. If that isn't your belief, then you can always use 'Merry Christmas'. It isn't as if you'd be breaking Federal Law by doing so.
As for being asked to use 'Happy Holidays' by employers, then you may want to follow that direction.
Of course, I hope you don't mind if other people choose to use 'Happy Holidays' or 'Happy Hannakuh', if that is their belief.

No one is telling you to say anything. If you want to say "Merry Christmas" then say it but don't get all huffy when I say "Happy Holidays" because I care that there are people celebrating things other than Christmas at this time of year. It's not meant to be a personal affront to your sensibilities, so please don't take it that way.
Peace

I don't allow that in my life - I always say Merry Christmas and write it on all envelopes of mailings in December.
