I admit that i took them late once in a while but i never forgot to take them all together. Does this mean i got preg. while on them? I know ortho micronor (generic for ortho tri cyclen lo) is notorious for getting people preg., and especially if they take them late.

Or could there be other possible reasons for not getting a period?

I'm on the pill right now, and have been for 5 months. Most of the time I dont get my period until the first day of the new set of pills. I think it just takes a while for my body to get used to the lack of hormones!. Good luck!

I'm sure you're concerned, but the pills themselves cannot "Get" you pregnant. When you take your pills every day, the reasonable thing to expect is to have your period on the placebo pills...they have no medication in them and are purely designed for you to take so you remember to take a pill every day. You said you were late taking the pill...if you meant that you take it in the morning and you forgot, taking later than day or night, that is no problem. If you missed it for two or three days, it is possible for you to ovualte and then could become pregnant.
The hormones you take for birth control someone times are strong enough to "wipe out" the bleeding cycle...especially if you have been on them for several years. Some women have 1 or 2 period a year only. I hope this helps. I f you are concerned take a pregnancy test or see your doctor for an exam.

You should get your period when you're on the sugar (placebo) pills whether you actually take them or not.
See your Gyn because this is abnormal. You could be pregnant (rare) or there could be another reason, but you won't know until you see a doctor. Only he/she would know.

I personally do not take the placebos. I just flush one each day to keep track of my days, but I haven't taken them in years. I always get my period on time on the third placebo pill.

It's not ABnormal to miss a period on the pill, miss TWO periods and YEAH - odd. Get a blood test tho now and relieve your anxiety - that alone may help start your period. Til you know for sure....keep on track with your pill schedule.
