John Nash wrote a paper about non-cooperative equilibria. This would be more strategic than any book. The Beautiful Mind was based on his theories. Many books have been written to try to understand his theories. You might enjoy this.

This is the bible of strategic thinking, used by military and corporate strategists who specialize in game theory. It's mathematically advanced, though. You might want to start with an introductory book on game theory. Search on the web for "prisoner's dilemma" for an example of applied game theory.
