I bought it , installed it, and it only plats video, how do i make it so i can hear the sound, im using vlc, it is a hauppage card.

You'll have to use the Hauppage software that comes with it for viewing television (and have a cable or antenna connection).

there should be a cable going from the line out of the card to your line in on your soundcard.. i would advise checking the manual since u might have missed something.
i would try using the software u got with the card to see if ucan get audio using that.

I bought a Happauge and couldn't get it to work either. I went to Leadtek and had no problems with their card (TV2000 Pro or the HDTV).

i believe you have to connect the audio output into the audio input of your audio card. that's how mine works
