I anticipate (and will welcome) a black (perhaps lesbian) woman president in my lifetime, but do not believe Americans generally are mature enough to elect an atheist just yet. America loves its imaginary friends in the sky, even if they do so little to solve or prevent the problems reality presents us all with!

I would not accept Obama mainly because he hasnt been in the political world long enough to let me know how he would do but I would vote in Condalisa Rice in a heart beat. She is smart, bright, and most important she doesnt spew political crap that most life time politicians do. You never see her pointing the finger saying that person is to blame for the problem. In fact they asked her to run for president but she refused. Mainly because I think she realizes that the president really has very little power to do anything but must take the blame for everything. If by some act of god they ever get her to run for president I think she will be voted in. Sorry got off the subject. Race should never come into it. It should be on how you stand up for your pricipiles, your values of what right and wrong are, and most important how you take responsibility for your words and actions. I am a white male but still feel Condalisa Rice is the best candidate for president in Washington. The only other good candidate I have seen was ross pero and sadly he didnt win but got clinton elected. I dont like the republican or democratic party but have noticed that alot of republicans will vote outside their party lines for what they think is a good candidate where as democratic voters will vote democratic no matter what their candidate has done.

I think that you could probably find any old, homeless, crackwhore and have her run for president with a reasonable chance for success because
1. Its a woman, and EVERY feminazi and womans rights activist would vote just because of that.
2. She is black, and EVERY minority group in America would support her.
3. If you are NOT a woman, OR a minority, and you DIDN'T vote for her, you would be labeled as either prejudice, or as a woman oppressing man.

How about a woman of any color or ethnicity? How about a minority of either gender? It's going to be a while. It wasn't very long ago that a Catholic was a scandal, and another hasn't been elected yet. This is one way in which the US talks to the talk but hasn't managed the walk.

Land of the free sure. But there's also freedom of speech and freedom of opinion. Everyone has different opinions of who should be U.S' president and whatever happens happens. If you change a country, you change the people living in it. When will there be change in the presidents...well we'll just have to wait and see...

Only if the people vote on it. However, I think that the majority of the country is made up of white straight Christian men. So, it's probably not going to happen.

The U.S. will not exist by the time that happens. More like Texas will be a country, California another. I'm not sure how the rest will break up.

"A black woman for president" is not a question it is a phrase. If you mean "Why hasn't the US elected a black woman..et al... president" the answer is that no such woman has won the vote yet.
